Application details for participation in the 2007 Earth Day Poster Contest

2007 EARTH DAY POSTER CONTEST



The National Center for Conservation Science and Policy is hosting an Earth Day Poster Contest in conjunction with the 2007 Rogue Valley Earth Day festivities.  Entries will be accepted in four age groups:

  • K-3rd grade
  • 4th-6th grade
  • 7th-8th grade
  • 9th-12th grade

Posters must be 18" x 24" and vertical, and should reflect "Be the Change," the theme of 2007 Rogue Valley Earth Day.  Submissions must be delivered to the National Center's offices at 84 Fourth Street in Ashland, Oregon by 5:00 pm on April 10th, 2007. 

Awards will be given to 1st through 5th place in each of the four age categories.  In addition, special recognition will be given to the poster judged to be the "Best in Show."

The first place winners in each age category will be displayed at the National Center's booth during the April 21st Earth Day Event at Science Works (1500 East Main Street, Ashland, OR).

Winning posters (1st-5th in all age brackets) also will be displayed at the Headwaters Gallery throughout the month of May.  All awards will be conveyed as part of an awards program and reception to be held at the gallery on May 4th during the 1st Friday Art Walk.
